This role delivers engaging theoretical and hands-on barbering instruction aligned with state licensing standards. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching curriculum in in-person and distance formats, demonstrating proper techniques, maintaining attendance and student records, evaluating student performance,
enforcing classroom and academic policies, and communicating student progress and concerns to program leadership while representing the college professionally. Examples of Duties Organizes program of practical and technical instruction for distance learning and in-person learning, including demonstrations of skills required in barbering, and lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology; prepares outline of
instructional programs and studies and assembles materials to be presented. Instructs students in subject areas, i.e., use, maintenance, and the safe operation of tools and equipment.Instructs students in the significance of accuracy, sanitation, efficiency, resourcefulness and good work habits if obtaining employment or entrepreneurship as licensed barber.Assigns lesson to students and corrects homework; administers
tests to evaluate achievement of students in technical knowledge and practical skills; records results. Keeps records of daily attendance and student progress.Presents subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques, such as lectures, discussions, or demonstrations; ensures use of classroom time is organized and that instruction and clean-up can be accomplished within the allotted
