Position Overview The Department of Teacher

Education at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of literacy for multilingual learners for the Fall 2026 semester beginning September 9, 2026. This position is to teach EDU 358: Literacy and the Bilingual/Bicultural Child.Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course. If a section is not full, 8 or fewer enrollees, the salary

is prorated based on the number of students enrolled in the course. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Master's degree in EducationEducation & expertise in bilingual/multilingual education and literacy instructionDemonstrated knowledge of strategies to support literacy development in elementary education settingsDemonstrated teaching experience of elementary or middle school grades, including the teaching of

literacy and multilingual studentsDemonstrated ability to support pre-service teachers in creating and implementing lessons.Availability to teach on campus on Tuesdays from 4:30-7:10 pm Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
