Job Description: Teaches a full range of lectures, labs and clinical experiences in surgical technology,
and assists the Program Director as needed.Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handoutsEvaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, clinical work, assignments, papers, and examinationsVisits student clinical sites as requiredMaintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other
required documentation by specified deadlinesBe available to students for coaching Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related disciplineCurrent Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of three years practicing as a surgical technologistCurrent operating room experience in the
scrub role and/or current experience as an instructor in surgical technologyDemonstrated instruction for surgical technology studentsCurrent member of the Association of Surgical Technology (AST)Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skillsSensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the communityPreferred
