general education program. Each section of this sophomore-level course examines the history, nature, scope, and possible solutions of a particular societal challenge. Possible themes include homelessness, creation care, education, artificial intelligence, health care, trauma, and prejudice. The course begins with exploration of personal and communal values, biblical visions of flourishing, and strategies for engaging
in civil discourse, and provides students opportunities to practice critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning. Each section of this 3-unit course meets for 3 hours per week. Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty is to deliver instruction in the manner determined by the department.In addition, faculty responsibilities may include:Preparation of syllabus and teaching of curriculum
according to the goals and objectives of the department.Student advising and on campus hours in relation to the course load carried and as assigned in the faculty teaching assignment.Participation in faculty meetings and departmental activities as identified by the department chair or program director and assigned in the adjunct faculty contract.Determine student mastery of material and assign final course grades
