Responsible for teaching online courses and assessing learning outcomes in Physics or Physical Science. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.This is a pool to collect applications and resumes in search for online instructors to teach part-time for Spring and Summer courses in 2026. Required Qualifications Minimum
Qualifications for Physics: Masters Degree with at least 12 credits in combined fields Physics, Engineering, Math and/or Science Education.Minimum Qualifications for Physical Science: Masters Degree with at least 12 credits in combined fields Physics, Engineering, Astronomy, Chemistry, Earth Science Math and/or Science Education. Previous Community College teaching or training experience is preferred. Preferred
Qualifications Community college teaching experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to use a variety of technology-based instructional tools is highly preferred. Ability to teach in on-line and/or hybrid environments is desired. Physical Demands PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The teacher must see and hear on a continuous basis as well as speak frequently. Responsibilities Teach courses in accordance with outcomes identified in the established course development model. Teaching assignments may include varying delivery formats and methods. Collaborate in the development and revision of curriculum as needed. Meet promptly with scheduled classes. Assure that student outcomes are achieved in each course. Evaluate and record student performance and achievement on a regular
basis and provide regular student feedback. Refer students to Academic Support and Student Services as needed and meet recommended student/instructional accommodations as required. Develop and administer assessment instruments to validate student outcome achievement. Maintain accurate attendance, progress and grade records of all students.
