The Department of Music welcomes applications from candidates with expertise in the history of the recording industry and music copyright law.The Instructor’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Teaching an undergraduate course
focused on the history of the recording industry, from the invention of the phonograph to contemporary digital and emerging technologies Introducing students to U.S. copyright law as it applies to musical compositions and sound recordings Addressing topics such as copyright ownership, duration, infringement, reversion rights, and evolving legal frameworks.
