its decades long tradition of developing musicians of character and competence within a 'top 10 music school in California'. This position is designed for an active artist-educator who is passionate about teaching, mentoring, recruiting, and building a top-tier collegiate jazz ensemble within a comprehensive School of Music. Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty is to deliver instruction in

the manner determined by the department. In addition, faculty responsibilities may include:Artistic Leadership & Programming: Select and curate compelling, stylistically diverse repertoire that reflects excellence in jazz and commercial music traditions. Rehearse with precision and purpose, and design performances that serve as both high-impact educational experiences and engaging, outward-facing artistic events that

attract and grow audiences.Ensemble Development & Excellence: Build and sustain a regionally and nationally competitive jazz/commercial ensemble marked by artistic distinction, stylistic authenticity, and professional-level performance standards. Prepare ensembles for high-profile performances including recordings, tours, festivals, etc.Student Development & Mentorship: Mentor students in pedagogical mastery,
