Job Description: Teaches a variety of hospitality management courses with emphasis on Hotel, Destination and Event Management such as Introduction to Hospitality, Sanitation and Safety, Customer Service, Front Office Operations, Housekeeping Operations, Dimensions of Tourism, Hospitality Marketing and Sales, Convention Management and

Meeting Planning, and Hospitality Law.Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomesPrepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handoutsEvaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinationsMaintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlinesBe available to

students for coachingPeriodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management; substantial and related work experience may be equivalent to a degreeMinimum 5 years of industry experience in a supervisory or management rolePossess current ServSafe certificationProficient in related industry

softwareDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skillsAppropriately responds to the needs of the communityPreferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Hospitality Management,Business, or related field with five years’ recent management experience in a lodging establishment or tourism organization related
