We seek adjunct faculty members to teach Continuing Education - Pop Culture and Modern Nostalgia. COD faculty are

The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments

during days, evenings and weekends. We invite you to join our team and apply your passion for teaching and learning! Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In

addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Required Qualifications:Continuing Education offers short, non-credit courses for personal growth and adult enrichment. We are currently seeking passionate instructors to design and teach engaging, fun courses in Pop Culture and Modern Nostalgia (1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and

Beyond). Most classes meet once a week for 2 hours (on a weekday evening or Saturday afternoon) for 1 to 2 weeks. No academic credit is awarded.Potential course topics could include, but are not limited to:80s, 90s, & 2000s Cinema: Deep dives into legendary filmmakers (e.g., Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, or Penny Marshall), star retrospectives (e.g., Tom Hanks, Nicolas Cage, Tom Cruise), or the cultural impact of

defining films (like The Blues Brothers or The Matrix).Music History & Icons: Celebrating the legendary artists, bands, and movements of recent decades—from 80s icons (like Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, or bands like Duran Duran) to the Y2K boy band and pop diva boom.Nostalgic Gaming & Animation: The history of retro 80s/90s arcades, the global rise of anime franchises (e.g., Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon), or the
