The Math Mentor works closely with teacher candidates across MIAA coursework to support their development of mathematics content knowledge, pedagogical content
knowledge, and equitable instructional practices. The selected mentor will engage with candidates through online platforms, including Zoom and the Learning Management System, provide guidance on assignments and fieldwork-related learning, and support candidates in analyzing student work, reflecting on instructional decisions, and connecting course concepts to classroom practice. The Math Mentor will maintain regular
communication with candidates and collaborate with faculty and program staff to promote candidate success and continuous program improvement.Required Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of five years of full-time experience as a P–12 mathematics teacher in a diverse school setting.
