Southeast. Always the right career direction.Job Description SummaryThe Assistant/Associate Professor of Physiology is a full-time teaching position for first- and second-year medical students. The successful candidate will hold a terminal degree in Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, or a related field. This faculty member will join a teaching team primarily responsible for the educational

development of ACOM students. Experience teaching courses in physiology, biomedical sciences, and/or biochemistry is preferred. The faculty member is also expected to contribute to scholarly programs in their chosen areas. Applications will be reviewed immediately. Assistant/Associate Professor of Physiology reports to the Associate Dean of Anatomy and Molecular Medicine and has responsibility for, but is not limited to, the following:Teaching and Education: Provide lectures and other instructional methodologies to medical students.Evaluate, develop, and deliver course material to ensure a high-quality curriculum for ACOM students.Evaluate student progress in learning

appropriate medical knowledge. Communicate these evaluations to the student and administrative/faculty members as appropriate.May serve as a Course Director.Research: Attend professional and scientific meetings to enhance personal knowledge and contribute to professional development.Engage in scientific research or scholarly activities related to areas of expertise.Service: Participate in college and faculty

committees in leadership and membership capacities.Engage in community outreach and service initiatives.Mentor and advise medical students.Conduct applicant interviews for the DO program upon request.Supervise student workers.Office Hours: Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and assistance to students.Offer individual and group consultation sessions for students seeking clarification on course

material, assignments, or academic concerns.Provide guidance and mentorship to students regarding academic and career goals.Use office hours for administrative tasks, such as grading assignments, preparing lectures, and responding to emails.Complete professional development activities as assigned.Perform other duties as directed by the Associate Dean.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Possess exceptional interpersonal,
