Hospitalist.This candidate will provide inpatient care for pediatric patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Buffalo. They will also share in coverage of the affiliated Pediatric Long Term Care facility at HighPointe on Michigan.After-hours call is shared with other faculty members, and taken from home. In house Pediatric Intensivists provide immediate assessment and management for acute critical management
needs.Faculty duties include education and supervision of pediatric residents and medical students from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Ideal candidates will have excellent clinical, teaching and communication skills, as well as interest in scholarly and quality improvement initiatives.Division & Program Highlights Access to direct admission to the hospital for medically appropriate patients,
allowing avoidance of the Emergency Department Inpatient consultative services available for patients admitted to surgical services and other subspecialty services at GCH Discharge summaries forwarded to the primary care physician within 48 hours of discharge Robust and responsive GCH’s subspecialist consultations Available continuity of care for pediatric patients residing at HighPointe on Michigan Teaching
