Gynecology Hospitalists There are available positions for full-time or part-time 12-month (July 1 - June 30 service period), annual appointments. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2026. Position Description We have exceptional full and part-time opportunities to join our growing Academic Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist service, covering two campuses of University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) and a

Special Delivery Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. This unique opportunity offers rotations through UWMC-NW - the bustling, community-based campus of UWMC with a new, state of the art Labor and Delivery Unit and about 1,900 delievies per year, UWMC-Montlake - a busy tertiary care center which offers an integrated approach to obstetrics, balancing high-risk and

low-risk cases, with almost 2,500 deliveries per year, and a Special Perinatal Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital, which provides highly specialzed care before, during and after birth for patients whose babies may be critically ill due to birth defects. This position would be part of the University of Washington, there are strong opportunities for surgical and clinical mentorship, and selected applicants would have

the opportunity to engage in teaching, research and service in general Obstetrics and Gynecology. A 1.0 FTE Academic OBGYN Hospitalist faculty member at UW-SCH provides ample time for both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities add up to 73 shifts per year, or an average of six 24-hour shifts per month. This shift count accounts for generous, paid four-week vacation and two-week CME

benefits. 24-hour call is in-house with Generalist OBGYN partners at UWMC, and solo at SCH. Primary clinical responsibilities at UWMC include: Evaluation of patients in OB triage Consultation and surgical coverage for family medicine and midwifery colleagues on labor and delivery Direct inpatient care on the antepartum and postpartum services Labor management, primary or assistant surgeon in cesarean sections,
