Instructors are responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and
discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the University's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Instructors must meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with University policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree from an accredited institution is required. A doctorate is preferred. Academic preparation in
teaching field must include eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the discipline to be taught. Teaching experience and relevant work experience are desired. FIELDS SOUGHT Baptist University of the Américas is seeking adjunct instructors in the following fields: Accounting, Art, Bible, Business, Government, History, Mathematics, Ministry, Music, Psychology, Sociology, Speech, and Theology. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Maintain necessary communication and provide feedback to students; Demonstrate good classroom management ability. Assess and evaluate student progress throughout the duration of the course; Ensure timely assignment completion. Develop and deliver lesson plans that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies. Administer academic assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress for
meeting academic learning targets and progress in language acquisition. Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress and evidence of growth and progress. Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student responsibility and incorporates challenging instructional strategies. Adapt curriculum to provide individual, small group, and/or remedial instruction as to meet the needs
of individual students and subgroups of students. Manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement.
